can't recommend this shop enough after the exceptional service they provided when my Lexus was flood-damaged during the devastating storm that hit Portage and all of Northwest Indiana. With widespread power outages and chaos across the region, they still managed to arrange same-day towing, which was an enormous relief during such a stressful time. Once in the shop, they discovered the flooding had also damaged the fuel injectors, and they communicated that clearly rather than rushing the diagnosis. They ultimately replaced the entire engine, handling a major repair with real technical skill despite the disruption the storm caused everywhere. Throughout the process, they worked directly with my insurance company to make sure I wasn't overcharged, which saved me both time and money. Even with the added complexity from the storm's aftermath, they kept me updated and never made the long repair timeline feel frustrating. Their professionalism, honesty, and efficiency during such a difficult regional crisis made a hard situation so much easier to deal with. I'm incredibly grateful for their expertise and would trust them with my car again without hesitation.

As discount auto has been working hard in their transition, they hired a dynamite secretary named Mary although I don’t believe it’s her job description to keep her customers informed she goes the extra distance and checks on vehicles so that the customers are updated as to repairs being made to their vehicles on a daily. If not throughout the day it’s like night and day discount autos prior gives good deals. I got a really good truck for a really good deal and price. Their shop was small and now it is enlarged and the repairs made mechanically to my truck so far have gone without a hitch and our professionally done
